50 and getting acne now!?

I had a total hysterectomy about 8 years ago and in the last two years my chin has been breaking out. My Doctor says its adult acne (never had more than one pimple when my period was coming my whole life). I've been on HRT patches. Has anyone found a solution to this?

Ok, if your used to putting your head on your hand... actually face in your hand when you are looking at the computer screen, you could be a candidate for adult acne!





Its basically caused by a virus and can be cured with antibiotics for awhile. But, cup your chin in your hands and you will get it back, because your hands have a lot of bacteria that they are wiping off of tables and everything else, and transferring it to your face to break out!





Keep your chin out of your hand and you will eliminate most if not all of the problem.





I believe amoxcillian capsules will take care of the problem for awhile.. Have your Doctor check you for liver disease first, before taking these, as an elevated enzyme level and he wont give them to you.

Reply:If your medical condition is good, and you're not dealing with any other issues, consider that you're just one of the lucky people who developed the condition later in life due to hormonal changes. As a 34 year old, I have been using expensive prescribed medications from my dermatologist for years and didn't look too much better.
