I lived in las vegas all my life and had the usual teenage break outs, but I move to alaska right after I had a baby and for the past two years I've had really bad adult acne. So I dont know if its because I'm in transition with teen to motherhood or if the transition is because of the weather, hot to cold?
Does the weather play a major role in acne?
Weather certainly will play a role on your skin. The vaporizor is a great idea. It would also help to find out what was in the water where you used to live, and what is in it now. My friend is finding out from hers that different things they put in the water, or don't put in the water can affect how her acne behaves. I would also talk to your doctor, as some women can get bad acne because of pregnancy, and their bodies don't reset this back to normal after the baby is born. Some women don't have problems with acne until after their first baby, or until they are done breast feeding. Usually this is due to a hormone imbalance.
Reply:I am in the same boat- moved somewhere colder than I am used to and all of the sudden my skin is a mess... its flaky and greasy at the same time, i get pimples, and my skin tone is all uneven... ive noticed using a vaporiser at night by your bed helps, because your skin gets more hydrated and you rely less on product to keep it moisturized... I think facial moisturizers are evil.
Reply:yes humidity or the lack thereof can both cause acne.
Reply:oh yes. efinetely. for me, the amount of sunshine i get really aaffects my acne. in winter it's pretty bad, but in summer and spring it's like the more sun i get the clearer my face gets. as long as i don't get burned- then i have other things to worry about.
