I was using Proactive to maintain my adult acne and loved the results. Unfortunately, I ran out of it and funds are low right now. I have seen similar 3 step products sold at regular stores such as Wal-Mart for half the price but wonder how they compare to Proactiv. Has anyone tried them and if so, can you let me know if any were as good?
Does anyone know a good acne product besides Proactiv?
This is one of the best things for Adult Acne. Read about it!
I HAVE THE ANSWER TO ACNE!
I have a teen aged brother and me who have struggled with Acne for years...we tried many things, including Proactive and prescription medicines as well. Then, we found the solution.
Please don't shrug it off because this can help you a lot.
I was searching through the Internet and found www.acne.org. The site is owned by a guy named Dan. Dan, struggled with acne as well. He read medical books and tried many things on the market. Then, he found the way. BENZYL PEROXIDE! Now, I bet you have used it many times before but it hasn't done much right? Well, the reason is because everything on the market is 5% or 10% Benxyl Peroxide. These irritate your skin which causes MORE acne! (Touching it irritates it as well which causes more acne.) There is one thing on the market that has non irritating Benzyl Peroxide....2.5% Benzyl Peroxide. Netrogena on the Spot Acne Cream has 2.5. Nothing else on the market. You can get stuff on the Internet that have 2.5%! It is also on the site www.acne.org.
The regimen includes: First washing your face with a cleanser (suggested ones are on the site)
Then, drying and adding LARGE AMOUNTS or Benzyl Peroxide. In the beginning very little but you rank it up to 2 fingers after time.
Last, you moisturize, because the Benzyl Peroxide may dry up your skin. Suggested ones are on the website as well.
Go to www.acne.org and read about the clear skin regimen.
THIS MAN IS NOT TRYING TO MAKE MONEY...HE IS NOT SELLING ANYTHING!
He just wants to help. I have clear skin and so does Dan. There is also a forum where you can read more. The site teaches you how to pop a zit the right way and to find out other products that have work well.
I hope I Helped!
(My brother who is also a teen is clear as well. This regimen takes about 8 weeks to be completely clear but you will see gradually the acne go away. There is no cure for acne, so you have to do the regimen every day until acne goes away.)
Reply:im sorry u can try yougart every night
Reply:read tips on treating acen and skincare on this site
Reply:you need to drink plenty of water as it will hydrate your skin, also tea tree oil is very good and is not expensive, hope this helps
Reply:t depends on what kind of acne you have. if youve used proactiv and it actually worked, you must have a topical acne bacteria or so. try usig some Oxy brand pads to scrub, then rinse face, and then apply a light misturizer. just LIGHTLY. you dont want to over-oil your face. if your face gets oily really quick then dont use moisturizer..just skip that last step. and ive used some of those other brands such as acne free.they havent worked for me but ive just recently learned my acne is caused by hormones so i dont know. it might help with topical if the product is as good as it says it is
Reply:Go to the Dermatologist, it's worth the money
Reply:Apply toothpaste 2 ur acne everynite leave it on overnite and u wipe it off in the morning!
My acne/pimples went away in 2 days!
Reply:Proactiv has a cleanser with grains... you can get any brand of that. Then they have the repairing lotion which contains a low percentage of Benzoyl Peroxide. Neutrogena has On the Spot Treatment which is a mild BP product. Then Proactiv has the toner containing glycerine and salicylic acid. If you read labels on toners you will find one. The salicylic acid helps keep pores clear, and the glycerine moisturizes your skin without oil.
If you want a system, have you looked at the Neutrogena skin products? I know they have good cleansers like pore-minimizing and blackhead-removing.
Reply:Benza-clin. It is the strongest benzoyl peroxide out there. But you will need a Rx.
Reply:try noxema.it works really well. my older half brother had really bad noxema when he was visiting so my mom bought him noxema.i dont think he liked it eaven though it was clearing his skin so when he left he "forgot" it but now i use it and it works great
