Which oral antibiotic is the best for acne?
Tetracyclin.....usually takes about 3 weeks to start seeing results and you usually take twice a day. Eventually you could stop taking the pill when you are satisfied then just go back on them if you get a "flare up". Combine with Neutrogena Face Scrub and the results will be even better!
Reply:Accutane or Retin A. Not sure if they're antibiotics though.
Reply:I use a thing called tetracycline. I took it for about a weeks or so and i stayed clear for about a month.
Reply:panoxyl acnegel cream works well
Reply:Doxycycline has been used for years. Make sure you drink plenty of water behind it as it can cause pill induced esophagitis. Also, it may make you photosensitive.

You should see your dermatologist.

Good luck, I hope this helps..................
Reply:ya know everybody wants a drug to feel better or take away something. i am no better than you and i feel that just washing your face, clean it real good, try to stay away from fatty foods and chocolate that might help. i know before my period i get pimples and im 47 yrs old.i hate it but it happenes, also when it's humid outside the same thing happenes. i deal with it. good luck to you hon :)
Reply:My son took 250 mg of Keflex once a day for a month..before the antibiotic his face was like pizza...after the month it healed and never went back to a bad complexion again...but

he learned in that month how to keep his face and hands clean by washing 5 to 6 times a day and he quit soda and drank water.
Reply:Minocycline is the most widely used. It's inexpensive as well.
