I've been looking at getting the Nuetrogena or Olay Regenerist microdermabrasion kits for my face- but htey're expensive and I don't know if they'll make that much of a difference. Would a good scrub like St Ives Apriocot scrub or some similar product do the same thing? What products do you recommend? I have oily skin, and mild adult acne, and hope a better scrub or microdermabrasion will help with skin clarity and tone...
At home microdermabrasion? Have you done it? Did you get the results you wanted? What kit would you recomend?
It all depends on your skin. Home microderma kits work on some people and have no results on others. For me, 3 out of the 9 microderma kits I've tried so far worked very well: Youthful Essence, Dermanew and Neutrogena. I didn't like Olay, Philosophy, Loreal, Mary Kay and Epidermix, they either had minor results or caused adverse reactions.
Microderma works better than usual scrubs because the exfoliant agents are the micro crystals, which abrade the skin better than usual scrubs.
Superficial scars, fine lines, enlarged pores, stretch marks... they may be less visible if you use a good at home microderma product. but please remember that $34 is not a high price for a good cosmetic product.
hope this helps and good luck.
Reply:use avon.
Reply:I bought the Susan Lucci Youthful Essence Microdermabrasion System a couple of months ago and it's a nice product but it irritates my skin. A friend of mine gave me some natural beauty products to try, one of the items is an exfoliator and I've had wonderful results with it. I especially like the fact that it doesn't irritate my face. She says she got it from a site called curegram.
