Should I get off Birth Control?

I have adult acne. Would getting off BC help? I am on BC and just started using progesterone cream. The cream was suggested by a pharmacist %26amp; can't tell if it's helping acne yet. Any suggestions? I have tried every product out there.

birth control actually can help acne. I have suffered from severe acne for a llloonnggg time now (I'm only almost 20 and have been suffering from it for about 10 yrs now) and when I was on Ortho 0.5/35, my face was INCREDIBLY clear (and I was incredibly happy about it too!). Unfortunately, I had to get off of it because of other complications and now I am on Yasmin and it's made my face ssooo bad! I can't believe it and I feel like crying about it because it's just ssoo awful!

Reply:Stay on the pill and give the cream a while to work. Getting off the pill is a good way to be a moma.

there are new birth controls that help adult acne. Discuss the pros and cons with your doctor. It could be hormones causing the problem and the additional from the birth control could be the problem.

it has nothing to do with the birth control and you may have more then just acne. Some skin infections look like acne, but will never be cured without the proper medication.
Reply:Birth Control is meant to help lower acne... it may not be the pills, could just be something else thats causing this.

Colostrum is also said to be effective against acne.
